Necessary Clutch Wallet

Assalamualaikum and good day everybody!! I am feeling happy today, for I had finished the most complicated, hard, and yet cute, pretty, beautiful and functional wallet I've ever worked on. (Not that I had worked on many) I bought this EmmalineBags Pattern some time ago, and very enthusiastic at first. Upon reading the instruction, halfway, I got lost. So there you go up on the shelf. This was about 2 months ago. Yesterday, while I was working on a customer's order, Aiman pointed at the unfinished wallet, and say, "Kakak, why don't you finish it?"  I was like, OK. lets just finish it tonight. And Alhamdullillah. I managed. And sooo happy with the outcome. But, pictures below is how it supposed to look like.    I just omitted the flap details and the twist lock. The inside, I followed every instruction. I gotta say that this wallet is roomy, as you can see. 12 card slots, 2 cash slots, 1 zipped compartment, and 3 mo...

Updated Orders

Cuppy Coin Purse Pleated Purse Curvy Clutch and Pleated Purse, 1 set Dumpling Pouch, 1st time I tried this pattern. It is Keyka Lou's and it's FREE!! Go try it.

Pia Tote Bag

Totally slouchy!! Yup. I made this bag this morning and I named it Pia Tote Bag. I need to replace my current bag because it has a hole on it. So I made this pattern. A pleated tote, fully lined, with one zipper pocket outside and 2 open pockets inside. This bag has no closure. It is big enough for me, a carry-it-all person :)

Rose Bag

Morning uols...... I just want to update a bag I made for my mom. She requested the design, and I tried to realize it! Boy, it was a bit hard, but I managed. Alhamdulillah. I even like the result. So did she. So I named it Rose Bag. Not because of the rose pattern, but it is after my mom's name Rusne. This bag is fully lined, but I forgot to take the picture :) String bag style, with oval bottom

Camera Pouch

Assalamualaikum.... It's been weeks since my last post. I was busy setting up a new business, and my lappy and EOS camera were not with me! So half of me is missing. Not the other half!! I've been sewing several more coin purse for my collection. In between, I managed to make a Camera Pouch. My mom is going Umrah next week, so she wanted to bring the camera, which, the original pouch I lost on Langkawi vacation last time. Thehehe.... It was a boring black pvc pouch anyway. I am still confused whether the fabric I used is cotton or linen, or linen cotton!! What is the difference??? Anyway, this is my second boxy pouch. It is easy if the size is bigger!

Netbook Sleeve

Yup. It's been a long, long, long holiday, plus a major switch to working mode. These are my excuses for abandoning this blog. I've been away from home, "holidaying and outstationing" last February. So I got no mood for blogging. But hey, not my sewing. I managed to make 3 projects. This is the 1st one. I got this cute fabric from Nagoya while "outstationing", and made a netbook sleeve for my own. Now my lappy got cloth. Ekeke... For an 11 inch lappy I use a very soft fabric for inner, also bought from Nagoya I used velcro tape for the closure. Come again for my another 2 projects, Okay...

Vintage Dress

Yet another blouse..... I managed to finish this one last night. My first intention was to make a blouse, but it look vintage to me. So I just name it vintage dress. I got some ideas on the net and this is the result. Above the knee length You might spot the crooked peterpan collar. Yes, it is NOT intentionally. LOL.... But hey, nobody really cares, right? BTW, I need to brush up my peterpan collar skills. Pleated on the front and back skirt for more room. I am so happy because when I show this to my hubby, he looked twice!!

Pink Sleeveless Tunic

Alhamdulillah. I finished another order from my SIL Sem. Due date is before this Friday. This time she wanted a sleveless dress, maternity-like pattern, to be worn with inner shirt. I did not get a precise measurement of her, so this is a challenge. Not sure whether it fits her or not. Luckily this fabby is sooo easy to work with :) Pink fabric, I am so jealous! Some pleat on the chest, with buttons. The pattern is similar to my blouse here . The back view. This time I add a hidden pocket, as she requested. I hope she like it.

Blouse Muslimah

Alhamdulillah.... Cheewaaah.... Gaya bib berbutang menghiasi bahagian dada Jenis kain span cotton, murah tapi cantik. Selamat menjamu mata........

Peter Pan Collar Blouse

Well, I just wanna share the final project I made for 2010. Finished it exactly on the 31st. It was another blouse, with the peter pan collar. Drafting and attaching the collar looked so hard at first, but I found some blogs that show simple tutorial. Click here and here . The finished product. I was also trying the short bubble sleeve. I totally recommend it, especially for a plus size girl like me. So comfy. A peter pan collar should be rounder, but mine is not. Next time I'll use a bowl! LOL! Who's better modelling my cloth other than myself? LOL! Please ignore this model wannabe. Got 2 more fabrics for blouses. What fashion is next? See ya!

My Third Blouse - Pleat Blouse

I told you that I spent the whole weekend sewing, right? Yup! I finished 3 blouses, and this is my third. The concept is still maternity-like design, extra room on the middle part :). But this time, I divided it into 2 sections, the top and the bottom. This is the back view, also comfy. I also pleated the chest part and added buttons. Cute buttons, I love it!! I managed to make the sleeve longer by adding cuff and shortening the body length. I wanted this blouse to be a bit formal, wearable to the office, and yet comfy. Does this blouse represent office wear?

My Second Blouse - Buttoned Bib Blouse

This one right here is a PERFECTO. Well, at least to me. I made another blouse, with Misaki Natural, a Japanese Cotton. This is my first time working with Japanese Cotton, and it is soooo easy!! Definitely gonna buy more of this fabby. I add few inches on the middle part to make it roomier! This time I made a rounder bib on the chest, with buttons. Thought it would be hard, but to my wonder, it was easy and neat! Well, can't really see in this pix, right? Okay, I'll turned it inside out. Now we can see the bib I mentioned about. Hahaha... As for the sleeve, I want it to be comfy, so I made a bubbly sleeve with cuff. Through the process of making these blouses, I learned that 2 metres fabby are not enough to make a long sleeve blouse, especially for my height. Next time I'll buy 2.5 metres. Overall, this is my FAVORITE blouse ;p

My First Blouse - Lacey Bib Blouse

I've always wanted to make my own blouse, but everytime I started, the idea was just lost. I bought 2 fabrics for this purpose on my last visit to KK, but still, I got no motivation, ideas whatsoever. Been sketching dress patterns, measuring my own body only-God-knows how many times, been surfing for the simplest patterns on the net... I am ALMOST gave up. But then I remembered, I got no clothes to wear on this Xmas vacation with the In-Laws.... Rummaging at my wardrobe, I learned that my new clothes are shrinking in size!!! (Ok, yes, it is me whose put up some weight, SOME ok...). Whenever they fit on my top, they'll be exxxtra fit on my middle part! And it ain't pretty...... So, I proceed with sketching and measuring.... until one day, my mom saw me struggling with my own body pattern. (In Kedayan language) Mama : Bahapa kan kau Nong? Aku : Ani, mengira2 ukuran badan, kan membuat blaus. Mama : Aduh, nda jua payah hantap. Aku : Payah eh. Mama camana membuat...

Onto Something

Yes, I am onto something right now. A new project. Already made three of them. One more on the way, two more to go. Got ample time to sew coz hubby dearest is away at KK for a week. Will update tomorrow, after hubby is back. He brings our lappy, the one with photoshop. Wanna take the best pics for this project. Soon......

External CDROM Sleeve

Been a while since I posted my last sewing project. But that does not mean I am not sewing. Yeah. In a stress mode, I need to sew a lot. It keep me sane. Believe it or not? LOL... This time I made a cloth for my external CDROM. I got inspired by Tote Boutique's creation . Love making it. Sooo quick... I used velcro tape for the closure This is the only idea I could think of, on how to keep the wire still :) Throughout the quick process, less than an hour (bangga konon, cepat siap), I FORGOT to attach the strap!! Well...... I am sooo old.

Cosmetic Pouch

Couldn't really stop sewing today. Woke up this morning and sewed a pencil case. Then this cute cosmetic pouch. Stopped at 11 a.m, thought of continuing pouch-making. Gotta stop when I remembered my long due baju kurungs. Already cut, and half-way sewed. Pouches, take a number! Size of 9" x 6 1/4" Back view Fully lined and zippered
