Love at first sight. That's right. A pattern by WIKSTEN.  This pattern is for intermediate sewing skills. My first time sewing a blouse with an existing pattern. I usually draft blouse pattern myself. See these links here. Lacey Bib Blouse , Buttoned Bib Blouse , and Blouse Muslimah . However, that collar look soo yummy, and I have never made that before. So I gave it a try. The advantage, I can learn new skills, AND honing them. Yeay!! I only adjusted the pattern size a bit to better fit me. My kinda top. Loose and comfy, yet stylish. My favorite. 

Assalamualaikum. Hari ni mau share my first handmade Peplum Kurung. Tempahan dari customer online, ku beranikan jua mencuba. Cekidaut!! Peplum Kurung dengan kain kembang payung Simple je, agak M untuk tambah seri baju ni hehehe... Mudah juga sebenarnya dari yang disangka. Lebih kurang macam baju kurung moden je... But I had fun making it, will make more of it, and try more different patterns. Next time,   I want to make a dress duyung lah pulak, you know, baju kurung moden yang sambung dengan kain kembang ^_^.  Somehow, these pretty dresses are so NOT my style. What is my style?  I had none.

Hye.. Kali ni buat blouse lah pulak. Tempahan dari SIL. Dia hantar kain cotton yang gojes dan tempah blouse yang labuh. Yang ni pula satu lagi jubah yang my aunty tempah.

Assalamualaikum. Kali ni mau cerita pasal jubah pula. My Aunty hantar kain untuk dibuat jubah. Heran, selalunya my aunty hantar ke tempat Mama. Mau cuba air tangan anak buah, KATANYA hehe.... Pastu ayat ending nya, takut kena marah Mama sebab selalu hantar banyak sekaligus. Hahaha... tau takuuuttt...... Bukan apa, Mama sekarang ni kurang mengambil upah menjahit. Mata kureng terang.... Buat baju sendiri saja la. Tetapi, oleh kerana my aunty ni suka pesen jubah Mama, maka anaknya ni pula diupah. First time aku buat jubah, so sebelum tu belajar sikit dari Mama. Dapat la juga ilmu dan tips-tips membuat jubah dengan mudah. Alhamdulillah..... Inilah hasilnya.

Assalamualaikum..... It's been so long, after my last post. Less order, more time for tryout projects :D Here goes.... This is my blouse. I use Patricia Tunic pattern for this one. This one is my SIL's blouse. I made this using the book below. So easy to follow the instruction and I'm so loving it!! I definitely recommend beginners to get this book. Thank you.

Assalamualaikum... Been so long in a "busy doing nothing" mode... Not that I have too many orders to complete, but another project. Finishing my pending clothes. Most of it was done halfway. Some of it does not fit me any more, so lucky my sister. To count, I have completed 2 modern kurungs, 1 button-down shirt, and 1 butterfly dress. But for now, I show the button-down shirt first, okay :) This is my SIL's shirt. Due to lack of skill in collar, I made what I do best, round collar :D There are some imperfections, but I'm learning... Hopefully the next one will be flawless. Overall, I do enjoy making it!!

Another tunic ordered by Sem. This time, I made new design with pleat on the front. The pleat gives more room for the growing tummy. I add straps on the sides, and 1 more pleat on the back, just in case :) I hope you like it, Sem. Thanks.

My SIL Sem ordered 2 sleeveless tunics last week. She is 3 or 4 months pregnant, so I thought I'll make her a maternity version. This is the same version of sleeveless tunic I made before. The only difference is the ruffles. I always wanted to make those, but I have not found a rolled hem foot for my machine. I thought making ruffle was hard, but then if I don't try, I would never know. This is my first trial, and I love it. I love the color too :)

I've always wanted to make my own sleeveless tunic. I love to wear something baggy and comfy, yet stylish (kononlah). After I made one for Sem, and it looked good on her, so I made one for me. I can wear it with black inner shirt, and black legging. In fact, I already wore them on the Hari Wilayah Closing Ceremony. This dress is knee-length, buttoned on the chest and loose on the middle part. Could not really see with the prints, kan? Well...

Yet another blouse..... I managed to finish this one last night. My first intention was to make a blouse, but it look vintage to me. So I just name it vintage dress. I got some ideas on the net and this is the result. Above the knee length You might spot the crooked peterpan collar. Yes, it is NOT intentionally. LOL.... But hey, nobody really cares, right? BTW, I need to brush up my peterpan collar skills. Pleated on the front and back skirt for more room. I am so happy because when I show this to my hubby, he looked twice!!

Alhamdulillah. I finished another order from my SIL Sem. Due date is before this Friday. This time she wanted a sleveless dress, maternity-like pattern, to be worn with inner shirt. I did not get a precise measurement of her, so this is a challenge. Not sure whether it fits her or not. Luckily this fabby is sooo easy to work with :) Pink fabric, I am so jealous! Some pleat on the chest, with buttons. The pattern is similar to my blouse here . The back view. This time I add a hidden pocket, as she requested. I hope she like it.

Alhamdulillah.... Setelah beberapa hari aku tidak punya idea untuk menjahit, akhirnya aku diberi ilham untuk menyiapkan baju ni. Sebelum aku mula membuatnya, mataku berpinar-pinar akibat terlalu lama menggunakan internet, demi mencari ilham. Setelah pelbagai paten, pelbagai fesyen dan pelbagai gaya blouse ku lihat, akhirnya aku gunakan paten yang sama seperti blouse ku sebelum ini.... LOL!!! Bezanya kali ni aku panjangkan separas lutut. Bahagian bawah aku buat kembang sedikit, untuk lebih keselesaan. Cheewaaah.... Gaya bib berbutang menghiasi bahagian dada Jenis kain span cotton, murah tapi cantik. Selamat menjamu mata........

Well, I just wanna share the final project I made for 2010. Finished it exactly on the 31st. It was another blouse, with the peter pan collar. Drafting and attaching the collar looked so hard at first, but I found some blogs that show simple tutorial. Click here and here . The finished product. I was also trying the short bubble sleeve. I totally recommend it, especially for a plus size girl like me. So comfy. A peter pan collar should be rounder, but mine is not. Next time I'll use a bowl! LOL! Who's better modelling my cloth other than myself? LOL! Please ignore this model wannabe. Got 2 more fabrics for blouses. What fashion is next? See ya!

I told you that I spent the whole weekend sewing, right? Yup! I finished 3 blouses, and this is my third. The concept is still maternity-like design, extra room on the middle part :). But this time, I divided it into 2 sections, the top and the bottom. This is the back view, also comfy. I also pleated the chest part and added buttons. Cute buttons, I love it!! I managed to make the sleeve longer by adding cuff and shortening the body length. I wanted this blouse to be a bit formal, wearable to the office, and yet comfy. Does this blouse represent office wear?
